Learning and unlearning
Wyota Workshop is an architecture studio working on residential, educational and commercial projects. The majority of our projects are residential single and multi-family residences. Some of our most satisfying projects were remodels and additions to old and historic homes. We work with private clients as well as developers and often provide feasibility studies for property development. We have had a small window working on school expansion and greening projects for pre-school and elementary schools in the Los Angeles Area. Our primary focus is to expand our residential portfolio, and make further inroads into educational and historic preservation projects.
We see design as a cyclical process of learning and unlearning based on the demands of a project. Each project comes with its characteristics, idiosyncrasies and specifications that continually change as it develops- from design concept to implementation- to meet the requirements of the client, the public, various codes, construction types, and the physical and cultural environment. Our skills lie in negotiating the project through these challenges, opening it to adaptation while maintaining its core intentions and bringing something out of the ordinary to it in the way it looks and feels.

Siddhartha Majumdar, AIA
Principal
Siddhartha Majumdar, AIA, received his Bachelor of Architecture degree from the School of Planning and Architecture, Delhi and studied Theory in Architecture at the College of Design, Architecture, Art and Planning, University of Cincinnati. He is a registered Architect in California and a member of the AIA. He has worked with SPF: architects in Los Angeles for over twenty years on institutional, educational and residential projects including the Getty Villa Museum, Long Beach Rainbow Bridge, Taylor Yard Pedestrian Bridge and Rancho Cienega Sports Complex. He has also taught design studio at the School of Architecture, University of Southern California, Los Angeles. He is passionate about cricket and currently captains the Pickwick Cricket Club of the Los Angeles Social Cricket Alliance.
Anupama Mann, PhD
Principal
Anupama Mann received her Doctor of Planning and Development Studies from the USC School of Policy, Planning and Development in 2009. Her dissertation on the Delhi Metro Rail project received the 2009 Gill-Chin Lim Award for Best Dissertation on International Planning from the Association of Collegiate Schools of Planning. She holds a Master of Architecture from the USC School of Architecture and a Bachelor of Architecture from the School of Planning and Architecture, Delhi. Her professional work includes housing, urban infill, and school projects. She currently lectures and teaches studio in the Departments of Architecture and Urban Planning, College of Environmental Design, at Cal Poly Pomona.
Isaac Macleod
Architectural Designer
Isaac Macleod received his Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Cincinnati with a certificate in historic preservation. He became interested in architecture as a career while researching the legacy of urban renewal in his hometown, Cincinnati. Isaac enjoys projects involving salvage and adaptive reuse, a stance bolstered by environmental concern. He has worked on projects in San Francisco such as: Pier 70, The SF Flower Market, a major renovation of the Presidio campus, as well as adaptive re-use developments and projects involving historic housing.
