Highgate Avenue Residence

The site is a corner lot with views of the canyon and downtown Los Angeles. In order to make the best use of the panorama and the south facing aspect of the site, the house is placed parallel to the slope. Both floors of the house open onto the views through large windows, which also offer a glimpse into the life of each room. Balconies bookend the upper floor and provide a place to relax or to say hello to a neighbor passing by.
